Information
Bonnes-Mares is a Grand Cru straddling the communes of Chambolle-Musigny and Morey-Saint-Denis in the Côte de Nuits. The climat enjoys ideal exposure and rests on limestone-rich clay soils studded with stones and fossil material. In the winery, vinification begins with a cold soak followed by spontaneous alcoholic fermentation. The length of vatting varies between two and three weeks. Ageing then takes place in seasoned French oak casks having already contained one wine, for around 12 months.
In the glass, the wine reveals an intense ruby hue with brilliant garnet glints. The nose is complex and expressive, offering layers of black cherry, blackberry, raspberry, cherry wood and dark tobacco. The powerful palate shows firm yet refined tannic structure, balanced by a sense of fullness, leading into a persistent, fruit-driven finish.
