Information
Pomerol, located on Bordeaux’s Right Bank, is a historic appellation renowned for producing red wines of great elegance and power. This wine is a meticulous blend of 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc. In the vineyard, harvests are carried out by hand on a plot-by-plot basis. In the winery, the fruit undergoes densimetric sorting before fermentation in temperature-controlled vats with regular punch-downs and pump-overs, followed by malolactic fermentation in barriques. The wine is then aged for 14 months in new French oak barriques.
In the glass, the wine displays a delightful ruby hue. The rich, expressive nose reveals black fruit, cocoa and gentle sweet spice lifted by subtle oak nuances. On the palate, the texture is generous and velvety, supported by silky, ripe tannins. A poised interplay of fruit, freshness and refined mineral structure carries through to a long, elegant, persistent finish.
