Information
The vines nurtured by Domaine des Bodines thrive on a mosaic of clay-limestone and marl soils typical of the Jura region. This blend of Chardonnay and Savagnin is produced using a natural, low-intervention approach. The grapes are harvested by hand, then pressed gently before spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts. The wine is subsequently aged in casks for around two years.
In the glass, the yellow hue reveals pale golden highlights. The complex, authentic bouquet reveals white fruit aromas such as apple and pear, touches of candied citrus and floral notes, with nuances of hazelnut and butter. On the palate, a clean attack opens onto the Chardonnay’s breadth, supported by Savagnin’s natural drive. The intensely fruit-driven profile leads gently into a saline, persistent finish.
