Information
The Pinot Noir vines grown on the Lahaye family estate in Bouzy are tended with care under organic principles. The slopes of Bouzy rest on limestone subsoils which, combined with south and south-west exposure, giving the wines excellent ripening potential. Hand-harvesting is followed by plot-by-plot sorting. Once brought into the winery, the fruit undergoes long macerations and spontaneous fermentation. Ageing then takes place in casks for twelve months.
The wine displays a clear light and slightly bright ruby hue. The bouquet reveals red and black fruit supported by earthy notes and smoky nuances. On the palate, a juicy attack leads into a fleshy mid-palate and firm tannins, leading to a persistent, fruit-driven finish that strikes a poised balance between power and freshness.
