A wine matured in amphora, a unique method of ageing, conferring subtle iodine notes to the flavours of black fruit and sweet pepper. More info

A very unique wine lies behind this atypical name. Epic et poc is the result of Agnès Hocquard-Henry’s curiosity and willingness to take risks. She has been at the helm of Domaine de la Tour du Bon for over twenty years. Not content with maintaining the excellence of the domain, the winemaker distinguishes herself through her incredible ability to produce wines with unusual, unique personalities.
Cultivated in a Provençal terroir, Carignan and Mourvèdre share the limelight in this blend. The vines are pampered through organic farming and biodynamic practices that have been in place for several years. They are rooted in clay-limestone soil, with a certain concentration of silt. The wine is matured in amphora, a risky ancestral technique perfectly mastered here, imparting finesse and subtle hints of iodine.
The blend of these two Mediterranean grape varieties produces an intense aromatic profile evoking ripe black fruit, liquorice and sweet spices with peppery notes. This spicy red is fresh and ready to be savoured straight away.

Vin de France La Tour du Bon Epic et poc Agnès Henry serve at a temperature of 14°C. It will pair perfectly with the following dishes: Agneau grillé aux herbes de Provence, Aubergines à la parmesane, Lapin aux olives.

Information about domain La Tour du Bon

La Tour du Bon owes its name to the watchtower which once stood on the highest point of this domaine, protecting the village from approaching danger. The first vineyards were planted here in 1955 and the Hoquard family acquired the property in 1968, carrying out major works on the vineyard before their daughter Agnès took to the helm in 1990. Agnès still runs the domaine today, which continues to improve year on year. The vineyard has been certififed organic since 2014 and their wines have distinct personality and harmony, with excellent cellaring potential.
