This wine’s Pinot Gris is cultivated following biodynamic principles on clay and limestone soils. The berries are pressed slowly and gently in a pneumatic press and the wine is matured on the lees in oak barrels. An elegant character and fresh and slightly saline style make this very fine wine ideal for pairing with dishes such as high-quality, meaty fish.

    Domaine Valentin Zusslin is a longtime darling of critics and wine guides (including Bettane & Desseauve and the RVF). The 16 hectare estate which is based in Orschwihr, just south of Colmar, converted to biodynamic viticulture in 1997. Wines are produced from a total of 9 different grape varieties, featuring crystalline whites and structured Pinot Noirs perfect for cellaring.
