Vintage description 1979 Burgundy

Following very good bunch setting and a perfect flowering, the sunny weather in September produced a generous harvest of nicely ripened grapes. The red wines are elegant and harmonious. Many of the cuvées are rich in tannins, which make wines with a very good cellaring capacity. The white wines are fruity, rich and good quality. In general 1979 is a good vintage.
