A reasonable vintage for Burgundy wines. The red wines in 1986 were marked by an abundant harvest with fairly irregular sanitary conditions. Nevertheless, the Côte de Nuits had a better quality harvest, producing quite good wines. Savoir-faire was yet again the determining factor for success and those who were able to select the harvest and concentrate the grape material were often rewarded with better quality wines. The best ones have conserved their lovely ruby colour, which mirrors the surprisingly fresh taste of these wines. The white wines are a great success. The harvest, less abundant, produced ripe grapes with a better sanitary state. Today, these wines have opened up surprisingly well and have a remarkably rich aromatic.
