Thanks to an exceptionally hot and sunny ripening period, the red and white grapes produced promising wines which were either fruity and appealing, or well-structured and fleshy. Ideal weather conditions resulted in beautiful and perfect grapes. On the whole, the grapes, having reached optimal ripeness, were very rich in sugar and had a good level of acidity, particularly grapes that were harvested early. The 1999 wines distinguish themselves with their lovely balance. The reds have a very beautiful colour. A delicious fruitiness gives these wines plenty of character. They are fleshy with fine tannins. The white wines are pleasing. They are characterised by their balance and freshness, accentuated by a good amount of acidity.
