Château Haut-Simard 1966
The wine
This Saint-Emilion grand cru marries generosity with fruit and delicate oak notes. Powerful yet balanced, this wine remains a relatively unknown which makes it a rare gem at an interesting price.
About the Producer Haut-Simard
This château cultivates a few hectares of Merlot and Cabernet Franc on a terroir of clay and limestone. These old vines produce superb grapes which are vinified traditionally and then matured in barrels. This somewhat discrete chateau produces perfectly-balanced, delicious wines. A gem of Saint-Emilion!
