Intensity
A robust, fruity and full-bodied Corsican wine. This cuvée is emblematic of the IGP Ile de Beauté appellation and is ideal for refined dinners.
More infoThis luscious cuvée is a blend of 80% Sciaccarellu, 15% Minustellu, and 5% Elegante – all organically cultivated – and is the result of the perfect combination of the hillsides of the Gulf of Propriano and Tizzano. These exceptional terroirs possess arena-like clay-granite soil, giving the wine an unparalleled complexity and aroma profile. The grapes are carefully harvested and destemmed, then sorted in the vineyard and at the winery. Next, the grapes are macerated at low temperatures – before fermentation – between 12 and 16°C and then fermented in vats where the caps are punched down and pumped over daily. The wine is then matured for a year in vats and demi-muids (600-litre vats), followed by six months of ageing in bottles.
The deep red colour with purple hues boasts aromas which are robust, powerful and fascinatingly complex. The palate is full-bodied, fresh, balanced and delicate. Notes of ripe black fruit blend seamlessly with soft spice for a profound and generous tasting experience.

About the Producer Sant Armettu
In 1964, Lucien and Paul Seroin came from Algeria and settled in Corsica where they cleared the shrubland and planted their first vines on the slopes that dominate the Valinco Gulf and the Bay of Tizzano. The grapes are vinified at the local cooperative.
Gilles Seroin took over the 11-hectare estate in 1995 and decided to vinify his own wines. He named the property after the legend of the local hermit who was cured by plants and built the cellars that are used today. He expanded the estate which now stands at 40 hectares today, mostly planting varieties native to the island. Sciacarellu, Rimenese, Genovese, Biancu Ghjentile, Minustrellu and Aleaticu all show off their individual flavours and their Corsican soul in the wide range of wines. In 2021, the estate gained organic certification and Gilles was joined by his children Jeanne and Guillaume who are going to continue the family vineyard.
