Named after the O Pradiño locality, this Albariño reflects the granitic soils and maritime influence that imbue the wine with citrus notes and superb salinity.
More infoThe Leirana o Pradiño cuvée comes from the renowned Rías Baixas appellation, a vineyard area celebrated for its fresh and aromatic Albariños. Located on the Atlantic coast of Spain, this terroir benefits from a temperate maritime climate, ideal for the cultivation of this iconic grape variety. The vines thrive on granitic soils with clay-rich zones that promote excellent drainage and moisture retention, allowing the vines to grow steadily. The O Pradiño locality plays a key role in shaping the identity of this cuvée. The vines, some of which are several decades old, contribute to the wine’s complexity. Hand-harvested to ensure optimal selection, the grapes undergo fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to preserve the freshness of the aromas. The wine is then aged on fine lees for several months, adding depth and texture.
In the glass, the wine reveals a pale yellow colour with hints of green. The nose offers aromas of citrus fruits, stone fruits, and a subtle saline note. On the palate, the wine is fresh and balanced, with a beautiful minerality and lively acidity, culminating in a long, persistent finish.
