Intensity
A charming, indulgent perfectly crafted wine brimming with aromas of delicious red fruit.
More infoBorn of a natural cross between Pinot Noir and Gouais Blanc, Gamay flourishes beautifully in the region’s granite soil where it forms the backbone of the Beaujolais terroir. In the winery, the harvested grapes are delicately sorted to retain only the highest quality raw material. The fruit then undergoes carbonic maceration in whole bunches to preserve all the berries’ delicious aromas.
The intense rich red colour promises a bewitching and expressive bouquet. The nose reveals majestic aromas of strawberry, plum and vanilla, complemented by subtle hints of liquorice. On the palate, blackcurrant and blueberry aromas mingle with vanilla, coffee and mocha flavours. This cuvée will reveal its finest aromas in its youth, and can easily be cellared for one or two years.

About the Producer Séléné
Domaine Séléné, whose name is a reference to the Greek goddess of the moon, was taken over in 2012 by Sylvère Trichard and her partner. The name is clear with its intentions: the important thing is to highlight nature and all its elements, whether terrestrial or extraterrestrial, to offer the purest wines, with the least human intervention.
Sylvère Trichard cultivates 4 hectares of certified organic and biodynamic vineyards in the heart of Blacé. The estate is called Séléné, and the work is carried out following the lunar cycle. In the vineyard, attention and care are important. The vines evolve in an ecosystem that includes insects, fruit trees, and sheep… In the cellar, the aim is to have as little intervention as possible so that the wine follows its natural cycle. No inputs are added, with the exception of a small amount of sulphur during bottling.
The wines are light, fresh, fruity, respecting the terroir, the winegrower and the consumer.
