Intensity
A stunning Beaujolais, with elegant aromas of ripe red fruit and spices.
More infoNestled between the south of Mâcon and the north of Lyon, the Beaujolais vineyard is almost entirely planted with Gamay vines. The clay and slightly chalky soil is particularly well drained, providing each vine with all the nutrients and energy it requires to ripen properly. In the winery, the Gamay grapes are vinified without any inputs, using a homeopathic dose of sulphur to preserve the crispness and freshness of the fruit.
This highly colourful natural red wine boasts a slightly shiny, clear, ruddy tint. The expressive, heady nose reveals delicate aromas of tangy red fruit, such as cherries, raspberries and strawberries. On the palate, the lively, fresh attack displays flavours of red fruit, combined with spicy notes, leading to a crisp, indulgent finish. This cuvée will display the full extent of its delicate aromas in its youth.

About the Producer Séléné
Domaine Séléné, whose name is a reference to the Greek goddess of the moon, was taken over in 2012 by Sylvère Trichard and her partner. The name is clear with its intentions: the important thing is to highlight nature and all its elements, whether terrestrial or extraterrestrial, to offer the purest wines, with the least human intervention.
Sylvère Trichard cultivates 4 hectares of certified organic and biodynamic vineyards in the heart of Blacé. The estate is called Séléné, and the work is carried out following the lunar cycle. In the vineyard, attention and care are important. The vines evolve in an ecosystem that includes insects, fruit trees, and sheep… In the cellar, the aim is to have as little intervention as possible so that the wine follows its natural cycle. No inputs are added, with the exception of a small amount of sulphur during bottling.
The wines are light, fresh, fruity, respecting the terroir, the winegrower and the consumer.
