The wine
Pernand-Vergelesses Premier Cru Les Vergelesses delivers a complex nose with red fruit aromas, accompanied by spicy mineral notes. This minerality is also found in the mouth, combined with a dense substance and firm tannins.
About the Producer Pavelot
The Pavelot family has been present in Pernand-Vergelesses since at least the 17th century and their domaine has grown over time and generations. Today, Luc and Lise Pavelot have taken over from their father Régis. Their 9-hectare vineyard is certified organic and shared between Pernand-Vergelesses and Aloxe-Corton. This is a really interesting area, with particularly charming wine, that also maintains reasonable prices.
