A vibrant, fruit-driven Beaujolais Villages bursting with cherry and violet aromas. Its supple, indulgent palate makes it a perfect wine for sharing.
More infoThe Beaujolais Villages appellation stretches over a large winegrowing area in the north of the Beaujolais region, with 38 village that enjoy terroirs particularly well suited to Gamay. Nestled between the flat terrain of Saône and the first granite slopes of the Massif Central, these villages produce wines with more structure and expression than those from the broader Beaujolais appellation. Here, the terroir is characterised by granite and schist soils which lend the wines their hallmark minerality and freshness. These conditions allow the Gamay grapes to reach full ripeness while retaining their natural acidity and bright, juicy fruitiness. In keeping with Beaujolais tradition, the grapes are harvested by hand and undergo semi-carbonic fermentation in whole clusters. This method enhances the wine’s vibrant fruit and floral aromatics while keeping tannins unobtrusive.
The wine displays a brilliant ruby-red hue. The expressive and inviting nose reveals notes of cherry, crushed strawberry, and violet, lifted by a subtle hint of spice. On the palate, the initial drop is lively and fruit-driven, framed by fine tannins and a juicy texture, culminating in a refreshing finish offering a delicate hint of pepper.

About the Producer Domaine Les Garçons
