Côtes du Jura Les Ammonites Buronfosse 2012
The wine
Peggy and Jean-Pascal Buronfosse, whose property is just next to the well-known Jean-François Ganevat, are two exacting winegrowers who produce very pure, natural wines. The "Ammonites" white Côtes de Jura is produced from a south-facing marly terroir. The resulting wine is dense and deep with a rich personality.
About the Producer Buronfosse
Peggy and Jean-Pascal Buronfosse are two exacting winemakers making pure and very natural wines. The domain (situated just next door to that of the famous Jean-François Ganevat) is small and entirely organic: their 5 hectares is laid out to Chardonnay and Savignin for the whites (90% of their production) and Pinot Noir, Poulsard and Trousseau for the reds. In the winery they try to interfere as little as possible with nature. The wines from Domaine Buronfosse are subsequently an honest and elegant expression of their terroir with plenty of character. A true rising star of the Jura.
