A vibrant, crisp and saline Corsican white that expresses all the marine freshness of Vermentino.
More infoAlthough not belonging to the Patrimonio appellation, this wine draws its identity from this region in the north of the island, which is the historic bastion of Corsican winegrowing. The region is renowned for its native grape varieties and its clay-limestone and schist soils, which give the wines remarkable minerality and freshness. The north-facing Vermentino vines grow at an altitude of 250 metres, on slopes composed of clay and limestone. The harvest is carried out in the traditional way. After being picked by hand, the fruit undergoes pre-fermentation maceration for 48 hours, then ferments naturally for a month. The wine is aged for 12 months on fine lees in stainless steel vats. The wine has a brilliant lemon yellow colour. The nose reveals aromas of white flowers, citrus fruit and garrigue. On the palate, the wine is lively and saline, with good tension and a slightly bitter finish that prolongs the pleasure.
