Intensity
The perfect blend of Malvasía, Listán Blanco and Diego brings freshness and delicacy to this white wine.
More infoMost of the Malvasía grapes originate from the Montaña Timbaiba vineyard, where the limestone soils and proximity to the island's north coast contribute minerality and tension to the grape variety. Meanwhile, the Listan Blanco comes from a plot in Montaña Diama. This vigorous, highly productive grape variety from Andalusia softens the Malvasía by adding earthy, vegetal notes. And finally, this perfect blend is completed with Diego grapes from the Juan Bello Mountain. This grape variety, reputed to produce wines with green reflections and a hint of acidity, adds a great deal of freshness to the ensemble. The wine undergoes spontaneous fermentation before being transferred to barrels to rest on lees for eight months.
The intense nose reveals notes of tangerine, yellow fruit and a touch of vanilla. On the palate, a fine balance is struck between freshness and acidity, with a generous, flavoursome finish.

About the Producer Taro Vinícola
Taro Vinícola covers five hectares in the heart of the Canary Islands. It was founded in 2018 by Pablo Matallana, a young and passionate winemaker determined to showcase the islands’ native grape varieties and unique terroir. The name “Taro” comes from the small stone shelters found in the vineyards, where wine growers shield themselves from the sun. Grapevines face particularly harsh conditions here, with only 18 days of rain a year. They must push their roots deep into the volcanic soil to reach water hidden more than a metre beneath the rock. The vines are cultivated organically and often planted in small hollows to shield them from the intense heat. After harvesting the grapes entirely by hand, low-intervention vinification methods are used to craft the wine with minimum inputs and sulfites.
