Lot presentation

Barolo DOCG Cavallotto Riserva Vigna San Giuseppe Cavallotto Bricco Boschis 1993

The wine

The vines of Nebbiolo, located in Castiglione Falletto, in the heart of the Barolo region, are carefully cultivated with the greatest respect for the environment and biodiversity. The grapes are hand-picked at peak ripeness and rigorously hand-sorted. The fruit is then transported to the winery, where it undergoes a lengthy vinification process, with fermentation triggered by native yeasts. The red wine is then carefully matured for 48 months in Slavonian oak casks, before being bottled for a further 12 months.
The ruddy colour reveals a bewitching bouquet, marked by a complex aromatic profile, with notes of red fruit, dried flowers and tobacco. The powerful perfectly structured palate reveals ripe smooth tannins leading to a light and flavoursome finish.
