An elegant, precise Champagne, unveiling aromas of lemon, flowers and hazelnut with purity, balance and finesse.

More info

Laurent-Perrier sources its grapes from a selection of more than 100 crus, with a majority coming from the Côte des Blancs and the Montagne de Reims, areas renowned for their chalky soils.?Rich in calcium, chalk promotes natural drainage, preserves freshness and imparts the wines their characteristic minerality and tension. In the winery, pressing is carried out very gently, retaining only the first juice to ensure optimal finesse. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. To preserve the wine’s vibrancy and crisp acidity, malolactic fermentation is avoided. The blend is built on a majority of Chardonnay (around 50%), completed by 30% Pinot Noir and 10% Pinot Meunier, with the addition of 10% reserve wines. Ageing continues with around four years on the lees in the cellar.
In the glass, this Champagne displays a pale golden hue, lifted by a delicate effervescence. The nose is fine and pure, revealing notes of lemon zest, fresh pear and white flowers, with hints of brioche, hazelnut and almond. On the palate, a lively attack highlights a fine mineral tension that underpins the balance between freshness and roundness.

About the Producer Laurent Perrier

Founded in 1812, Laurent Perrier has become one of the biggest estates of Champagne (5th group of Champagne). Like other widows in Champagne Mathilde Laurent-Perrier developed innovative ideas for the time. Indeed, in the late 19th century, while the soft champagne were very popular, Laurent-Perrier decided to create a "great wine without sugar", the forerunner of modern champagne. Today, Michel Fauconnet, the cellar master, watches over the "Laurent Perrier taste" characterized by increasingly large proportions of Chardonnay, for a much appreciated aperitif style. The house is also the owner of the brands Salon, Delamotte, De Castellane, Jeanmaire ... 150 hectares are in operation, representing 10% of the bottles sold. The label NM (Negotiant-Manipulant) appears on the labels when some or all of the grapes come from purchases.
