This cuvée is crafted from the finest parcels in the Chassagne-Montrachet appellation, carefully tended by the Coffinet-Duvernay estate.
More infoNestled in the heart of the iconic Côte de Beaune, the Chassagne-Montrachet appellation is characterised by clay-limestone soils rich in marl and stones, ensuring optimal drainage and promoting the harmonious ripening of the grapes. This terroir, a shining example of Burgundy’s winemaking excellence, combined with a temperate, sun-drenched climate, produces a Chardonnay of great finesse and complexity. The winemaking process follows traditional Burgundy methods: after a hand harvest, the grapes are gently pressed, then fermented in stainless steel vats to preserve their freshness. The wine is then aged in oak barrels, including new wood, for about 12 months before being bottled.
This cuvée presents a dazzling golden hue. The nose is complex, blending aromas of white-fleshed fruits, white flowers, and a subtle hint of hazelnut. On the palate, it is elegant and round, with vibrant acidity that brings a refreshing freshness and a long, persistent finish.

About the Producer Coffinet-Duvernay
Generations of wine makers have passed on their talent at Domaine Coffinet, found at the heart of Chassagne-Montrachet, since the year 1860. In the 1980s, Laura Coffinet and her sister each inherited half of the domain. Laura brought her husband, Philippe Duvernay, onto the scene and founded Domaine Coffinet-Duvernay. With access to some of Chassagne's finest premier cru parcels, they are committed to representing the unique character of each terroir. Their key strategy is to spend as much time as possible in the vineyard, since this is where they consider the wine to be made. The vinification involves as little intervention as possible so that the juice can evolve in its own way. As tradition dictates, they let malolactic fermentation take place in order to bring a certain body and opulence, so fitting for a fine Chardonnay. The maturation length depends on the cuvée, though there is never an excessive amount of new wood used. What results is a generous palate with exceptional balance.
