Santa Rita Hills La Côte Pinot noir Domaine de la Côte - Rajat Parr 2021

The wine

An iconic grape variety in the Burgundy wine landscape, Pinot Noir displays its finest qualities in the cuvées produced by Rajat Parr at Domaine de la Côte. He has been producing sublime Pinot Noirs for over a decade, growing vines in individual parcels with the greatest respect for the environment and biodiversity. The La Côte cuvée is produced from a plot located on a steep, south-east-facing hillside. This location, sheltered from winds and ocean spray, allows the vines, on average fifteen years old, to develop their full potential. Once harvested, the fruit is vinified from 100% whole grapes.
The deep red colour reveals a delicate nose characterised by floral notes combined with rose and peony. The palate majestically affirms the aromas of the nose and delicately leads to an elegant fruity finish. This fine cuvée merits a little patience.
