Côte de Nuits-Villages La Robignotte Monopole Maison Thiriet 2022

The wine

La Robignotte produced by Maison Thiriet originates from a small parcel of just over one hectare located in Comblanchien, in the heart of the Côte de Nuits. This wine is elaborated from old Pinot Noir vines planted on clay-limestone soil typical of the region, offering a remarkable minerality. Vinification involves traditional methods, with cold maceration to gently extract the grapes’ aromas and colour. Fermentation occurs naturally with native yeasts, followed by a 12 to 18 month maturation period in oak barrels, with a small proportion of new wood, imparting delicate nuances without overpowering the grape’s character.
This nectar offers intense aromas of ripe red fruit and black cherry, combined with hints of spice and a light floral note. On the palate, this elegant elixir offers a fine structure, delicate tannins and a long, mineral finish that perfectly mirrors its terroir.

About the Producer Maison Camille Thiriet

Maison Camille Thiriet is located in Côte d’Or, at the heart of the Côte de Nuits, just opposite the sumptuous Château de Comblanchien. The business was founded by Canadian cellar master Matt Chittick and Burgundy devotee Camille Thiriet back in 2016. The pair met when they were both working at the iconic Domaine de Bellene, where Matt had was cellar master since 2011 and Camille sales manager from 2014. Together they fulfilled their dream of producing Burgundy wines under their own label. Thanks to their extensive apprenticeship, they forged an extensive network of renowned winegrowers in the Côte d’Or, allowing them to source the highest-quality fruit. They strive to vinify grapes grown in small appellations and fine terroirs with the utmost care and diligence. Maison Camille Thiriet unveiled its first vintages in 2016 and is committed to organic viticulture for future cuvées.
