The wines are densely planted at the estate. This allows a more concentrated grape production and in smaller quantities. To make this nectar, berries with noble rot are fermented and aged in barrels and vats. This wine reveals all its potential when paired with spicy dishes or blue cheeses. We therefore appreciate its golden yellow hue which reveals powerful aromas of stone fruits, lychee and spices. A powerful palate, characterised by flavours of tropical fruits, spices and citrus fruit, as well as a sweet honeyed sensation.

The wine
Vineyards at the property are planted densely so that the vines have to compete for resources. The outcome of the stress this triggers is a smaller quantity of more highly concentrated grapes. To make this nectar, berries affected by noble rot are fermented in vats and matured in tuns. The wine is at its best when paired with spicy foods or blue cheese. It has a beautiful yellow colour and powerful aromas of stone fruit, lychee and spice. The palate is powerful with distinctive flavours of tropical fruit, spice and citrus fruit, and has a subtle syrupy texture.
About the Producer Kracher
The Kracher domaine has earned an international reputation for the quality and sophistication of its sweet wines and has become the standard bearer for Austrian vineyards. Three generations of winegrowers have worked since 1928 to produce consistently excellent sweet wines. It is located close to Neusiedl lake where the climate is propitious to the formation of noble rot. There is a wide range of wines and different vinifications are offered, even for wines of similar sweetness. The wines very clearly reflect the know-how handed down from one generation to the next with an enduring love of wine. They are all perfectly balanced, rich and wonderfully aromatic.
