Toscana IGT Tua Rita Perlato del Bosco 2004

The wine

This cuvée is a pure Sangiovese; the grapes are vinified in a stainless steel tank before being aged for a year in French oak casks. Concentrated and dense, it has an opaque visual appearance and aromas of blackberries, very ripe plums, tea leaves and sweet spices. Its opulent, rich flavours alternate between ripe fruit, aniseed and violet. This wine will make a perfect accompaniment for grilled meat and meat in sauce.

About the Producer Tua Rita

The Tua Rita domaine is located in Suvereto, in the province of Livorno in Tuscany and spans some thirty hectares. It has been owned by Rita Tua and Virgilio Basti since 1984. This vineyard is renowned and has been singled out by the Revue du vin de France magazine and Robert Parker; it ranks among the top 100 domaines in the world. It owes its reputation to two grandes cuvées in particular: its Redigaffi and its 100% Syrah.
