The wine
From the region's most famous vineyards, located in the village of Barolo, these Nebbiolo vines benefit from a south-facing orientation to develop their full potential, guaranteeing high-quality raw material. In the cellar as in the vineyard, each step is is honed to optimise a natural and authentic expression of the terroir. Vinification is therefore carried out using a low-intervention method and with only minimal sulphur. The special feature of this cuvée is its ageing in 30% new French oak barrels for around 24 months before being bottled. It is then left to rest for a further 12 months prior to retailing.
The sparkling ruby-red colour promises a particularly fragrant bouquet. The nose is complex, marked by fruity aromas and hints of pepper. On the palate, the fine and elegant tannins pair wonderfully with the indulgent fruity flavours leading to a long and meltingly soft finish. This cuvée can be aged for several years in the cellar.
