The wine
La Ripaille exudes aromas of great finesse, around floral and fruity notes. On the palate, the fruit is generous, with a full, succulent sap, a mineral base and very slightly spicy notes.
About the Producer Domaine du Collier
Antoine Foucault (son of Clos Rougeard’s Charly and nephew of Nady Foucault) and his partner Caroline Boireau planted their domaine in Chace in the Saumur region in 1999. This organic vineyard has around 6 hectares on the famous hillsides of Brézé, planted predominantly to white. The wines are barrel-aged for a long time in magnificent troglodyte caves. The result indisputably tops all expectations. Both red and white wines from Domaine du Collier are classed as the highest in the region as they perfectly express their terroir and are very pure, fresh, deep, and concentrated.
