Cornas Les P'tits Bouts Mickaël Bourg 2021

About the Producer Mickaël Bourg

After several years working with winemakers and friends Guillaume Gilles and Matthieu, Mickael Bourg, one of the Rhône Valley’s leading winemakers, took over the family vineyards in 2002 and has continued to extend and develop them ever since. At barely thirty years of age, he cultivates a number of parcels in the prestigious Cornas and Saint-Péray appellations. He cultivates his two hectares of vines following the principles of organic farming and biodynamic viticulture, reflecting his conviction of the benefits for the soil and the wine, and his desire to preserve this nourishing terroir. Here, precise, well-balanced tillage replaces all chemical fertilisers and herbicides. In the cellar, traditional, low-intervention vinification methods ensure that the terroir’s distinctive qualities are preserved. As a result, the cuvées created here are fruity, refined, and flavoursome, offering a unique and authentic interpretation of these emblematic appellations.
