The Despagne family offers us Ampélia, a juicy, flamboyant and fresh merlot (95%). It is an enthusiastic wine, to drink while young that will reconcile the amateurs of accessible wines with Bordeaux.
About the Producer Château Ampélia
Ampélia is a small property of nearly 5 hectares purchased in 1999 by François Despagne, the owner (amongst others) of the Château Grand Corbin-Despagne in Saint-Emilion. Ampélia is treated with the same care as Grand Corbin-Despagne, whether it be in the vineyards (organic conversion) or the cellar, where processes are left quite natural.
