Chassagne-Montrachet Les Encégnières Marc Colin & Fils 2014
The wine
Chassagne-Montrachet Les Encégninères has been élevaged for 10 months in oak barrels. On the nose, it presents fruity (white and yellow fruit, citrus) and flowery aromas, along with buttery notes. Its refined, elegant woodiness blends perfectly into its aromatic palette. These aromas are also found in the mouth, which has beautiful balance, richness and elegance.
About the Producer Marc Colin
Of the many Colins in Burgundy, Domaine Marc Colin is perhaps the most famous. This Saint-Aubin estate asserted its reputation thanks to its high-flying whites. The winery has an impressive collection of terroirs in Chassagne, Puligny and several works of the mythical Montrachet. It is now his children, Caroline and Damien, who are at the head of the estate but they remain loyal to the property's identity. The quest for precision and accuracy is impressive, whether in the vineyard, during vinification or in the élevage. The red wines are also of a very high quality. A location which is not-to-be-missed in the Côte de Beaune.
