The wine

This small port, sheltered in a Mediterranean inlet, is also a tiny appellation area, which coexists with that of Banyuls in the communes of Banyuls-sur-Mer, Cerbère, Collioure and Port-Vendres. Rosés from Collioure are made from Grenache Gris and Syrah. These are very drinkable wines, with aromas of red berries and sometimes violets; initially delicate, they also reveal a certain amount of power, without losing any of their freshness or subtlety.
