A premier cru from upper slopes, finely honed and luminous, where limestone minerality gives structure to an elegant, precise and long Chardonnay.
More infoSet on the stony upper slopes of the Saint-Aubin appellation in the heart of the Côte de Beaune, the En Rémilly climat is nestled mid-slope, close to Chassagne-Montrachet, and enjoys a north-easterly aspect between Les Combes and Les Murgers des Dents de Chien. Free-draining limestone soils lend Chardonnay pronounced mineral tension and remarkable precision. The grapes are harvested by hand at peak ripeness. On arrival at the winery, the grapes are gently pressed, then ferment in the barrel, followed by roughly a year’s maturation on fine lees with discreet oak in order to keep the wine’s hallmark linear profile while adding texture.
The wine presents a dazzling, pale yellow hue. The nose brings together aromas of ripe lemon, acacia blossom, damp chalk and fresh hazelnut. The palate is clean, vibrant and almost saline, leading to a long, chalky finish.

★ Partner ProducerThe Morey family has been working in the vineyard in Meursault since 1793. Domaine Pierre Morey was created in 1971, from the family domaine, and is still managed by Pierre Morey, a former manager of the Domaine Leflaive, assisted by his daughter Anne. The 11-hectare domaine is spread over the communes of Monthelie, Pommard, Puligny-Montrachet and especially Meursault; it is worked using the biodynamic approach. Pierre Morey also created a small trading business in 1992, Morey-Blanc, where the cuvées are carefully selected. The quality of the terroirs and the talents of the wine grower produce outstanding white wines, widely recognised but also very fine red wines. The whites are one of the best of Burgundian hierarchy. Unfortunately, the quantities available are low, and the bottles very rare for connoisseurs around the world. So, when you find them on iDealwine, don’t delay!
