Cos Labory's wines have a beautiful colour, a rich, complex nose and a typical Saint Estèphe structure.
Boasting notes of cocoa and intense aromas of blueberry and blackcurrant with brambles and forest floor. Powerful when tasted, with tannins in abundance, equally powerful mid-palate then a lighter finish. A hint of eucalyptus adds a touch of complexity to this concentrated yet balanced wine. 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot and 11% Cabernet Franc
About the Producer Château Cos Labory
Château Cos Labory's vineyard lies on the same hilltop as Cos and is planted with a mixture of traditional Médoc varieties: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc et Petit Verdot. Under the direction of Bernard Audoy, the wine is aged for 12 to 15 months in oak barrels that are 30 to 50% renewed each year. Disappointing for many years, Château Cos Labory has now regained its former quality. The vineyard is divided into three plots that are quite different in terms of terroir, consisting of gravel, limestone and clay respectively.
