1er Cru Extra-Brut Mi-Pentes Lacourte-Godbillon

The wine

The Premier Cru Champagne originates in the village of Écueil, recognised for the quality of its terroirs. Mi-Pentes pays tribute to the village’s mid-slope vineyards, where the vines achieve an ideal balance of maturity and freshness. The Pinot Noir grows on soils of chalk overlain with loam and sandy clays. In the winery, the fruit is vinified following the traditional Champagne method. The wine is then aged on fine lees before undergoing bottle ageing on laths for several years.
In the glass, the pale gold hue is lifted by a delicate and persistent bead. The subtle, precise nose delivers intense aromas of ripe citrus, yellow apple, roasted hazelnut and white flowers. On the palate, a taut, mineral attack gives way to brioche and fruit notes, leading into a long and elegant mouthwatering finish.
