More infoA wonderful way to discover the work of Thibault Liger-Belair is to try his Les Charmes cuvée. This is a blend of 60% Maconnais and 40% Montagny, each bringing their own features. On one hand is the mineral structure and on the other are aromas of white fruit. This Chardonnay has a golden hue with hints of green. The floral and fruity nose becomes fresher and more mineral on the palate, with a delicately perfumed finish of spices. It can be aged for 10 years in the cellar.
About the Producer Thibault Liger-Belair
Thibault Liger-Belair took over the family domaine of Nuits-Saint-Georges in 2002, giving it its name. The domaine has been in the family since the 18th century and the trading establishments C. Marey and Comte Liger-Belair have been in existence since 1720. The vineyard spreads over a little over 7 hectares in Richebourg, Vosne-Romanée, Clos-de- Vougeot, Nuits-Saint-Georges, Gevrey-Chambertin. The greatest care is taken of the vines which are worked organically. The wines have already reached a good standard and are one of the rising values of the region, offering wines which combine fine substance and finesse.
