The wine

Domaine Jacques Cacheux & Fils is located in the commune of Vosne-Romanée and is now run by the fourth generation. The Pinot Noir grapes used to produce this Vosne-Romanée Premier Cru are lovingly nurtured following environmentally friendly principles, with an emphasis on tilling the soil to encourage biodiversity. Each parcel is nurtured with a master’s hand, and the region’s noble grape variety benefits from an oceanic climate with a semi-continental influence, and draws the nutrients it requires to flourish from the limestone and marl soils.
A year and a half period of ageing in wood has endowed this naturally deep wine with a fruity fragrance enlivened by hints of spice and undergrowth which, with a well-earned laying-down period of up to 15 years, will develop into leathery aromas.
