Porto Taylor's Vintage 1980

The wine

This Vintage port is only produced in excellent years. It is a blend of wines from the Taylor House’s three domains: Quinta de Vargellas, Quinta de Terra Feita and Quinta Junco. Following the harvests, the wines are raised in oak casks and tasted at their second Spring. If the quality is exceptional, they are kept in the final blend. The wines can be a little austere in their youth and need some time to express their full potential. They can be aged for decades.

Taylor is one of the oldest and most iconic port brands. Taylor was founded in 1692, and established itself in Porto and the Douro Valley and became a reference for port lovers worldwide. It produces wines renowned for their longevity and potency, but also their aromatic subtlety.
