Clos l'Eglise 1981
The wine
This is a seductive, fruity wine with a substantial potential to age. After 15 to 20 years of aging, this wine expresses all its potential.
Since 1997, Clos l'Eglise has been recognized as one of Pomerol's finest wines. Its excellent position, near Château Clinet, has enabled it to rise to the equivalent of a Médoc second growth. Owned by the Garcin family since 1997, the wine's quality has constantly improved. A comprehensive renovation programme, combined with high quality vinification (with manual harvests) has enabled Clos l'Eglise's wine to join the ranks of the appellation's finest wines.
