What makes this wine special?

Delivering remarkable complexity and elegance, the Extra-Brut Blanc de Blancs Champagne from Agrapart is distinguished by its maturation in demi-muids and absence of filtration.

More info

This Extra-Brut Blanc de Blancs from Agrapart is a 100% Chardonnay, sourced from the Robarts and Gros Yeux parcels in Avize, renowned for their distinctive geological profile. The soil, consisting of deep clay layers lying above chalk, gives the champagne an extraordinary level of complexity. Pascal Agrapart conducts the vinification process in demi-muids, allowing for greater aromatic expression and perfect maturation. The champagne is aged for over five years in the estate’s cellars for more than five years, without fining or filtration. The wine is disgorged two months prior to release, with a dosage of 3 g/L, preserving the grape variety’s richness and depth. Avizoise champagne offers a combination of gastronomic depth and richness while remaining effortlessly elegant.
The nose exudes white flowers and poached pear combined with hints of dried fruit, almond and pine. Fine, delicate bubbles tickle the palate, while a powerful minerality mingles with a rich fruitiness to deliver a long, mineral finish. This cuvée boasts complexity and character, perfect for pairing with refined dishes.

Agrapart & Fils

★ Partner Producer

Maison Agrapart & Fils, founded in Avize in the late 19th century, now extends over twelve hectares on the Côte des Blancs, eight of which are classified as grand cru. A family estate, it has maintained the status of récoltant manipulant, meaning that they buy no grapes. Pascal Agrapart developed plot-by-plot work from 1995 onwards and his son Ambroise joined the estate in 2018. On a vineyard with 70 parcels, the vines - 11 hectares of Chardonnay and 1 of Pinot Noir - are on average 40 years old. It holds a French environmental certificate.
This very fine estate is particularly popular with wine lovers and is gaining fame: the cuvées produced by this sought-after maison are increasingly difficult to find! The soils are worked by hand and enriched each year with locally sourced natural compost. They are vinified in old oak barrels with malolactic fermentation allowed to take place. The Champagnes stand out for their great finesse, mainly thanks to the low dosage and the fine minerality of the wines.
