Located in Morey-Saint-Denis, at the heart of the legendary Côte de Nuits, Domaine Castagnier is a family estate that has undergone a profound transformation since Jérôme Castagnier took over its management in 2004. Originally trained as a trumpeter with the French Republican Guard, Jérôme chose to return to his family’s winegrowing roots, bringing renewed energy to the estate. His arrival marked a turning point, both in the estate’s philosophy and in the modernisation of its winery.
The vineyard extends across around four hectares, spread over some of Burgundy’s most prestigious appellations, including Gevrey-Chambertin, Morey-Saint-Denis, Chambolle-Musigny and Clos de Vougeot. The estate also owns several Grands Crus, including rare and highly sought-after parcels that have firmly established its reputation within the burgundy winegrowing landscape.
Jérôme Castagnier follows a meticulous approach rooted in respect for the terroir in both the vineyard and the winery. Each parcel is farmed with great care, promoting biodiversity while maintaining a constant focus on precision.
