The wine
Premier Cru Forest Domaine Dauvissat presents aromas of limestone and citrus fruit as well as notes of honey. On the palate, there is a slight fatness which is most pleasant, combined with lovely acidity and mineral tones.
Created in 1931, Domaine René and Vincent Dauvissat has been managed from generation to generation by the Dauvissat family, the grandfather Robert, the father René and then Vincent who joined it in the 1970s with a constant concern for respecting the vineyard. The vineyard occupies 11 hectares in total and produces on average 70,000 bottles per year, covering all types of crus. The keyword which guides the entire process is strict respect for the terroir: vines are cultivated in a sustainable, responsible manner, yields are modest and new oak is used for fermentation and aging. As a result, the wines are fresh and with fine mineral content, with good aging potential (leave in the cellar for at least five years). Considered among the best producers of Chablis, Domaine René and Vincent Dauvissat produce reliable, good quality wine.
