Situated at the heart of the Quarts de Chaume appellation in the Loire valley, Château Bellerive is home exclusively to Chenin vines. It belongs to Alain Château, who also owns other domains in the Loire Valley and in Bordeaux. The ideally-situated vineyards cover some 12 hectares. This domain produces racy, well-balanced wines.
This cuvée is matured in barrique barrels for at least 10 months, then bottled without filtration. It delivers a bouquet of very ripe red fruit aromas and a supple, generous, fruity palate. This wine is a perfect accompaniment for grilled meats.
About the Producer Domaine de Bellevue
Jérôme Bretaudeau acquired 9 hectares of vines in Gétigné in the early 2000s. After a few more purchases, his estate totalled 10 hectares of organically cultivated vines by 2005. This is a leading light of the appellation and a sound investment.
