The wine
The bright, golden colour of this wine expresses a superb aromatic nose with notes of honey. Its saline underscore makes way for a persistent and particularly complex length. Overall it is harmonious and supple.
About the Producer Gagnard-Delagrange
This Burgundy vineyard is the product of the successful alliance between Jacques Gagnard and Marie-Josèphe Delagrange. Established in 1959, the domain now spans almost three hectares of vines, under the attentive management of Jacques’s widow and their grandson Marc-Antonin since 2009. Richard Fontaine and Jean-Marc Blain, Marie-Joseph and Jacques’ two sons-in-law, tackle the arduous work in the vines, while Marc-Antonin runs the cellar, having learned all its secrets working alongside his grandfather for three years before he passed away. While some practices have been refined over the years, Jacques Gagnard’s style endures, and the domain’s outstanding signature Burgundy wines are still crafted in the traditional way. Here, healthy, sustainable methods are applied to cultivation and vinification, producing unique, authentic and particularly flavoursome wines.
