The wine

An ancient variety with family links to the famous Sangiovese, Frappato is the textbook example of a Sicilian grape. Matured in the domain's ultra-modern winery, this single-variety wine, with its violet-red appearance, produces aromas which are floral, fruity (candied cherry/plum), mineral and spicy. Its palate combines freshness and opulence, with a persistent finish. It should be served at room temperature, and would benefit from being decanted into a carafe to reveal its full charm.

About the Producer Terre Di Giumara - Caruso-Minini

The Caruso & Mininidoaine domaine, a childhood dream come true, was established by Stefano Caruso and Mario Minini. They are both deeply imbued with traditional values gained from over eight decades of winemaking know-how in their respective families. They are therefore keen to preserve the features and character of each of the indigenous grape varieties they cultivate in order to honour the century-old Marsala tradition. For these two wine lovers, this drink is “a mixture of feelings, sensations and aromas”. Motivated by this belief, they create expressive and original wines.
