More infoSyrah, Grenache and Carignan have been grown on shale, clay and limestone soils before being vinified in concrete vats. The wine was then aged for15 months in vats. This means it can fully express the natural and freshness of its fruity notes through its blackberry, cherry and plum aromas. The clean and delicate palate allows flavoursome pairings with summer cooking for example.
About the Producer Calmel & Joseph
The Calmel and Joseph house was created in 1995 by Jérôme Joseph, in collaboration with several other winemakers in the region. Enologist Laurent Calmel joined the team in 2007. They vinify, blend and mature their wines themselves. The domain is located on a former farm that dates back to the 16th century, with a vast vineyard spanning 160 hectares at altitudes of between 240 and 300 metres. The domain produces organic wines. The house’s production gives great insight into the diversity of Languedoc wines.
