Haut-Condissas 2012

The wine

This micro-cuvée has been produced since 1995 from a selection of vines belonging to Château Rollan de By, planted in clay-gravel hilltops from the quaternary period. The vineyard is managed according to sustainable farming principles. After manual harvests the grapes are rigorously sorted. Vinification takes place in temperature-controlled truncated cone-shaped vats. The wine is then aged in new oak barrels for 18 months. Unfiltered, the wines are fined traditionally using egg whites. With impressive concentration, Haut Condissas is an intense, full-bodied wine, which is a match for many of Bordeaux's finest.

About the Producer Haut-Condissas

The ambitious Haut-Condissas cuvée is the fruit of Jean Guyon’s work from the Domaine Rollan de By in the Médoc. Like the “garagistes” or garage wines” from Bordeaux right bank, this cuvée from an only-5-hectare plot in the Médoc in high density is able to compete with the greatest Bordeaux wines. A superb cuvée.
