More info

The Viognier which makes up this Condrieu comes from granitic soils and was aged using sustainable methods and fermented in large container barrels thanks to its native yeasts. The wine has been aged for ten months on its fine lees which gives it body and extra suppleness. Extremely aromatic, the wine has notes of apricot, peach, citrus, honey and vanilla. The palate is equally impressive and generous. Smooth and beautifully creamy, it is balanced by acidity which gives it persistence and good aging potential. This full-bodied wine will have its place at the table with tasty dishes such as pike quenelles or cream-based poultry dishes.

About the Producer Stéphane Ogier

As this estate on the hillsides of Ampuis has been in the family for seven generations, it was perfectly natural for Stéphane Ogier to take over from his father Michel in 1997. Having learned his craft in Burgundy, he has decided to produce single-plot wines to achieve the best expression of each terroir. He also strives constantly for elegance and finesse. Today, the vines are planted on 27 hectares of granite and shale soil. Viticulture is conducted according to sustainable principles. Two distinct terroirs define the estate’s identity: the Côte Brune and the Côte Blonde, both shaped by a relatively cool climate. Since 2015, the estate operates in an ultramodern winery, equipped with over 600 barriques, ensuring precision in both vinification and ageing. Today, Stéphane Ogier’s wines clearly belong among the elite, thanks to his unwavering pursuit of excellence driven by passion, ambition, talent, and creativity.
