The gently sloped Bellevue parcel used to craft this wine produces beautifully concentrated grapes.
More infoThe soil in which these vines are planted is rich in large pebbles, and these keep hold of heat during the night. The gentle slope of Bellevue also means the vines are well-sunned. Nicely concentrated grapes are the result of these conditions. The parcels in question are the youngest on the domain, planted by Daniel himself between 1985 and 1987. The vines are traditionally pruned in the gobelet style traditional of Beaujolais. In the glass, this cuvée has floral and red fruit notes. It is dense and flavourful on the palate with silky tannins. This terroir wine will pair nicely with roasted guinea fowl or beef.
About the Producer Daniel Bouland
The Domaine Daniel Bouland is located in Corcelette in Beaujolais, between Villié-Morgon and Chiroubles and consists of eight hecatres of beautiful terroir and old vines. Daniel Bouland comes from a family of winemakers and the family estate is shared with his brother Raymond who produces in Villié-Morgon. Daniel Bouland's wines are characterised by their body and their beautiful intensity of fruit while their minerality subtly reflects the terroir. Good wine at an interesting price!
