More info

Renowned as one of the favourite grape varieties for Mâconnais red wines, Gamay, an ancient descendant of Pinot Noir, delivers its finest expression on soils consisting of granite and pebbles. Each parcel receives individual and specially adapted care to preserve the natural balance between the soils and biodiversity, as well as guaranteeing high-quality raw materials. Once harvested, the delicious and aromatic grapes are meticulously sorted before being vinified following a traditional method with little intervention.
The rich, deep and intense colour promises a highly aromatic bouquet. The nose is indeed generously characterised by fragrances of blackberry and blueberry combined with subtle notes of liquorice. The supple and elegant colour allows the velvety tannins to express the characteristics of this exceptional terroir with great precision. This lengthy cuvée offers excellent ageing potential.

About the Producer Boisson Frère et Soeur

The Boisson-Vadot estate in Meursault was long run with great skill by Bernard Boisson. In 2016, it passed into the hands of his two children, Pierre and Anne, and was branded Domaine Boisson Frère et Sœur. The vineyard has entered a new chapter, as each sibling now crafts wines under their own name while carrying on their father’s legacy. Pierre Boisson cultivates just over three hectares of vines, and his wines are shaped by extended maturation in oak casks. Anne Boisson tends just over one hectare of vines scattered between the villages of Meursault and Auxey-Duresses. The area’s warm summers and frost-free autumns offer particularly favourable conditions, allowing the vines to thrive on marl and limestone soils. The estate produces authentic wines that reflect the local terroir and a thoughtful, environmentally respectful approach.
